Weekend of Fun and Adventure

Dreamworld

Yesterday we rented a car with our two Canadian friends and drove down to Dreamworld, an amusement park. We started off with some very lame tame kiddie rides and worked our way up to brave the "high thrill" adventure rides. Todd and Matthew got onto the thrill seeker rides straight away though. Lining up for the Big Drop while Jenny and I waited in the line up for the lame log ride. Near the end of the day after the tower of terror us girls felt like we were ready to brave the big drop. Yes and now todd is taking over the blog mwaa ha ha haaa, Rowena was right it was action packed a nice change from the couple of dull weekends where nothing remotely blogworthy happened that or we forgot our camera. Anyhow We got up early saturday with the need for speed, and aspirin and water, as we went out dancing with friends the night before and watched them try to eat one anothers face. Then we rented a huge ford falcon and began our trek to Dreamworld, which is pretty much the PNE of the gold coast. Oh and thanks to Todds awesomeness i looked on the back of a receipt for razors and cheese and low and behold a coupon for 30% admission, a sign from god? Yes I'll take it as it saved us 25 bucks a piece off the steep 64.00 admission price. Anyhow we set out and started snapping touristy pics and clambering around random statues with you the bloggees in mind. It was awesome Me and Matt started out with the Tower of Terror, which is like a helavator, except it brings you up 140meters and then lets you chill up in the sky so high I can see my house from there, for what seems like forever(which explains the 1.5 hr line we waited in) then it drops you and I swear its the biggest rush the girl beside us had to be carried off the thing and she was shaking and crying, it was awesome. Then we went on some lame rides like the log ride which basically instead of going on it i would of rather walked into a room where some one throws a bucket of overly chlorinated water at you. woulda saved me the time to line up. There are really only 5 worthy rides, And we went to frightzone which is basically a maze of mirrors smoke and strobe lights where people dressed like zombies come up to you and scream and yell at you, while i litterly have to drag my caravan of cowards through it, as they become progressively heavier, it was kinda lame, but girls were scared out of thier wits. Dreamworld is still lots of fun, kids would totally love it, And hells ya i am now the most popular uncle ever cause look. LOOK WHO I AM HUGGING, yah spongebob, unca tigs gots the hookups. Anyhow we left dreamworld only to return at a later date, and then went for Thai food in gold coast where rowena ordered the grossest food ever, it was soo fishy and chewy I could barely swallow it. But afterwords rowena mentioned that we should go see the glowworms at springwood(earlier blog nice waterfally cavey place) And to jenny our canadian friend this was like her graceland, She has been wanting to see glowworms since she was like 10. So we made the trek up a narrow winding moutain road while the girls shat themselves cause they thought we were going to tumble down the mountain side only to be raped by the roaming rapists gangs of ipswich. (inside joke) anyhow we saw the glowworms and they are just little dots that look like stars in the dark, its pretty surreal actually, and we had a great time stumbling around in the outback at night with the two biggest chickens of all time. We then got home at like 1:00am and nosedived on the bed. Oh I forgot to mention the first picture which just finished uploading, its the rocket sled, we rode it twice its a sled that fires you out of a tunnel at 130km's an hour instantly up a 90 degree ramp then drops you. As you can see by the look on rows face, we had to buy the picture. Priceless.
