Sorry we've been so slack at posting lately, we've been super busy lately and just never seem to find time to blog. Finally here's an update to catch you up on life here in Oz.
Todd and I have been slowly getting our open water diver certification. Because of our busy schedules, our 2 week course has some how dragged out for several weeks now. We finally completed our first open ocean dive a couple weekends ago at Tangalooma Wrecks and Curtain Artificial Reef by Moreton Island. The water conditions were pretty rough with strong currents, but we managed to persevere through it. Unfortunately we were so busy focusing on our diving that we didn't get a chance to take any photos.
Last weekend we went out for a game of mini golf with our friends. But discovered that mini golf, called putt-putt here, is just that, a putting course but without the fun obstacles like ours back home. So after we finished our first round of the most horrible 9 hole putt-putt, we opted to switch over to the driving range. Todd must have had a lot of practice before I met him or the rest of us were so horrible that we made him look fantastic. He hit some pretty impressive balls past the 300-350 yard mark! And these babies flew up in the air beautifully! I was impressed.
This weekend we are going down to the Gold Coast for a housewarming. The weather is getting warmer here so hopefully it will be a nice day for the beach or a swim in their pool. Next weekend we will finally finish the rest of our dives, then it's off to a wedding the weekend after that and my friends from Canada will be here visiting for a couple weeks. Yipee!! Our first visitors :)

Dude, whoever left their gear standing up unattended (todd) should fail the course!!)
So should the person that let their dive buddy jump in without their BCD connected.
