Summer Storms

Last weekend we found ourselves caught outside in a summer tropical storm. We were walking across the bridge to pick up some pizza for dinner when all the sudden the sky turned black with big stormy clouds. We managed to get to the pizza shop before it started raining, but we weren't so lucky on our way home. While we were waiting for our food, a terential downpour of rain began accompanied by a thunder and lightening show. Just a short sprint across the parking lot to return our videos and we looked like we had been standing out in the rain to have an outdoor shower. Well on our way home, we just decided that there was no way we would be able to stay dry so we just ran all the way home across the bridge trying to keep our pizza dry. It was actually kind of fun, it was really warm outside and showering down with rain. I ran across the bridge in bare feet wearing my very see thru when wet dress while cars sped through huge puddles of water along the side of the street causing giant waves of water to splash onto us. It's a good thing we were just going home and not dressed to go out somewhere. Here are some pictures of us when we got home from our 10 minute walk across the bridge. We were actually much much much wetter than we look in the photos. We looked like we just took a shower with all our clothes on! This was one of the first of many more tropical summer storms to come.
