Yesterday we went to Surfer's Paradise again with our new Canadian friends, Jenny and Matt. Matt had a rental car through his company for the weekend so we all decided to take a trip to the beach. It was a bit of a late start since they were both hung over from Australia Day the day before, so we didn't get out until 2pm. But still enough time to enjoy the sun and the surf. It was Jenny and Matt's first time in the open ocean down here. Jenny is scared of sharks so she was a bit timid in the big ocean waves so we stayed closer to shore, but the boys went out to play in the big waves with all the big kids. After spending the afternoon playing in the waves and lying on the beach, we decided to walk around the town and have some dinner. It felt like we were on vacation. Two pina coladas later, Jenny and I decided that we loved the Gold Coast so much that we were going to move down there. The boys didn't like the idea of moving there, they prefer the city where it is less tourisy and cheesy. So we decided that we would get a place together and live as women of leisure on the beach while our men worked up in the city. Of course they could come down and visit us when ever they wanted to though :)
